THE AUNT MARION AND UNCLE MAX FOUNDERS GROVE

THE GROVE:

Nestled serenely within the magical embrace of the Santa Cruz Mountains, within view of Kennolyn’s campfire circle, stands a very special grove of redwood trees. A permanent grove sign at the site identifies it as the Aunt Marion and Uncle Max Founders Grove.

THE LEGACY:

The Founders Grove was dedicated in 2005 as a permanent tribute to the unique and inspiring vision of Aunt Marion and Uncle Max. They envisioned a summer camp experience that would always be fun and wholesome. Very often it became much more than that. It became life-changing. Over more than six decades at Kennolyn camp, thousands of children have benefited.

THE MISSION:

The non-profit Max and Marion Caldwell Foundation perpetuates this great legacy by providing pre-paid camperships to deserving youth at Kennolyn and at other California camps.

YOUR PERSONAL TRIBUTE:

Tax-deductible gifts to the Max and Marion Caldwell Foundation can now be recognized with a personalized, permanent plaque in the Founders Grove. Donors of $500-999 qualify as Grove Supporters. Donors of $1,000 or more become members of the Redwood Circle.

TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY:

Redwood Circle or Grove Supporter plaques in the Founders Grove can recognize the combined gifts made by several individuals or families.
